A plain-English privacy page for people who use the Anderseed website, complete the BA Readiness Assessment, request resources, apply for mentorship, join community links, or contact the business.

Who we are
Anderseed Consulting Ltd provides Business Analysis career education, mentorship, resources, and community support.
What we collect
For the BA Readiness Assessment, we collect your eight assessment answers, calculated readiness score, stage, supporting dimension scores, strongest area, primary growth area, recommended next steps, and technical identifiers used to save the assessment securely. At the result-delivery step, we also collect your first name and email address. If you choose the separate marketing option, we record that choice and the wording shown when you made it.
Depending on how else you interact with Anderseed, we may also collect your phone number, referral source, application answers, payment-related records, messages, feedback, and programme participation information. If you use your microphone, camera, display name, chat, or screen sharing during a recorded session, those details may appear in the recording.
How the assessment uses your information
While you work through the assessment, your answers and progress are saved in first-party browser storage for up to 24 hours so you can continue if the page is refreshed. At the result-delivery step, the temporary draft also holds an opaque continuation token so the completed assessment can resume securely without processing the answers again. The draft does not include your name or email address, and you can remove it sooner by clearing this site's browser data.
When you complete all eight questions, your answers and calculated result are stored in Anderseed's structured assessment database. We ask for your first name and an email address as part of the result-delivery step; after submission, the personalised result is shown immediately on screen. A one-way hash of the normalised email address is used during the same retention period to prevent repeat assessment submissions. Automated result emails are not included in this MVP.
Providing an email address for your requested result is not marketing consent. The marketing checkbox is separate and optional, and leaving it unticked does not prevent you from seeing your result.
How we use your details

- To respond to enquiries and mentorship applications.

- To send BA career guidance and Anderseed programme marketing only where you have separately chosen to receive it or another lawful basis applies.
- To meet legal, accounting, safeguarding, security, and dispute-handling obligations.
- To understand website performance and improve the assessment experience.
Lawful bases
Depending on the activity, we may process personal information because it is needed to provide a requested resource or service, comply with a legal obligation, pursue a legitimate business interest that does not override your rights, or because you have given consent. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
Recorded teaching sessions
Teaching sessions are recorded so enrolled learners can revisit or catch up on programme content. Cameras are optional, and learners should avoid sharing unnecessary personal or confidential information. Recordings are restricted to authorised Anderseed personnel and enrolled learners, are normally available for 12 months, and must not be shared outside the authorised cohort.
Marketing and unsubscribe
Marketing permission is requested separately from the name and email details needed for the assessment result. It is optional, is not pre-selected, and does not affect access to your result. You can withdraw marketing consent or unsubscribe at any time. We do not sell your personal details to third parties.
Brevo and automated nurture emails are not connected to this MVP. A later email-marketing integration must use only contacts for whom Anderseed has an appropriate lawful basis and must be covered by suitable privacy and provider arrangements before it is activated.
Service providers
The assessment uses first-party application storage operated for Anderseed through its website hosting and database infrastructure. PostHog provides optional website and assessment-funnel analytics through its EU service endpoint, and is loaded only after you accept analytics. We may also use trusted providers for payment processing, forms, video sessions, recordings, learning access, email services, and customer management. These providers process data so the website and business can operate. Where information is processed outside the UK, appropriate contractual or legal safeguards should be used where required.
Brevo is not connected to the assessment in this MVP, so assessment contacts and consent records are not automatically transferred to Brevo at this stage.
How long we keep information
An unfinished assessment draft is kept in your browser for up to 24 hours. A completed assessment that is not linked to submitted contact details is kept for up to 7 days so the secure result step can work.
When you submit your name and email at the result-delivery step, the named assessment record, contact details, and recorded marketing choice are initially kept for up to 12 months. Anderseed should then delete, anonymise, or retain the record only where there is a documented continuing purpose or legal requirement.
Anonymous raw assessment-funnel events are kept for up to 7 days, then deleted after they have been converted into aggregate counts. Aggregate funnel statistics do not contain names, email addresses, assessment answers, or a link to a named lead and may be kept longer to compare performance over time.
Other personal information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected, programme delivery, learner support, legal or accounting obligations, security, and dispute handling. Programme recordings are normally available to enrolled learners for 12 months.
Cookies and browser storage
The assessment uses first-party local browser storage to remember an unfinished assessment for up to 24 hours and first-party session storage to create an anonymous analytics session for the current browser session. The anonymous funnel events record steps such as page view, assessment start, question progress, completion, result view, and call-to-action clicks; they do not include your name, email address, assessment answers, score, or personalised result. We also store your analytics preference so the website can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional analytics.
PostHog is optional and is not loaded until you choose ‘Accept analytics’. If accepted, PostHog may use cookies and local browser storage to measure page visits and approved non-identifying assessment-funnel events. With that consent, Anderseed also stores a random attribution ID for up to 90 days, together with the first meaningful source and the latest meaningful source, landing page, referral domain, and campaign tags where present. If you later submit the assessment form, that attribution may be linked to your Anderseed Lead ID for reporting; it does not alter your assessment or lead score and does not contain your name, email, assessment answers, readiness score, or personalised result. If you choose ‘Reject non-essential’, PostHog is not loaded and no attribution record is stored between visits. A source already present in the current journey may still be attached when you choose to submit your name and email, without fingerprinting or persistent analytics storage. You can revisit or withdraw your choice at any time using the ‘Privacy choices’ control on the website.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, delete, restrict, transfer, or object to the use of your personal data. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. If you remain concerned after contacting us, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
